Management: VINCE NEIL Will Not Participate In Florida's CHRISTMAS TOYS Run

November 30, 2004

Despite published reports to the contrary, MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil will NOT be participating in the 17th annual Christmas Toys in the Sun Run on Dec. 5 in Southern Florida, a spokesperson at Neil's management has informed BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "[Vince] was invited to attend, but cannot," the spokesperson said. "We've told the organizers several times, for several months that he would not. I'm not sure why they've kept him listed on their web site, or why I'm still getting calls about it from radio and press."

As previously reported, more than 30,000 motorcyclists are expected to hit the highway as part of the toy run for needy children, which is billed as the world's longest motorcycle parade, benefiting Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Foundation.

AEROSMITH singer Steven Tyler and BON JOVI guitarist Richie Sambora are expected to lead the cycle parade, which will leave from Pompano Harness Track, 1800 SW 3rd St., Pompano Beach, at 10 a.m. and end at Markham Park, 16001 West State Road 84, in Sunrise. It will take three hours for the last cyclists to reach the park.

More than 100,000 people are expected to attend the festival in the park, which will include an afternoon concert by NIGHT RANGER and PAT TRAVERS.
